The park’s 2400 one-horned rhinos represent about two-thirds of the world’s total population (in 1904, there were only 200). Kaziranga offers popular 4WD safaris that allow you to get close to the rhinos and other large mammals; you may want to avoid the elephant-back safaris on animal welfare concerns. Safaris are available in four of the park's five ranges, of which the central Kohora Range and western Bagori Range offer the best overall wildlife sightings and also have most safari traffic.
Irreverent Shillong was the capital of colonial and post-Independence Assam (which embraced almost the whole Northeast) until 1972, when it became capital of the newly carved-out state of Meghalaya. Since then it has developed some accoutrements of a typical modern Indian town, including a lot of concrete and some urban sprawl, but it retains some old-time charm in certain pockets – and a strong sense of individuality and difference, with its many Christian churches and its residents' tastes for hanging out in cafes, playing and watching rock music and football, driving around in spruced-up automobiles and gambling on archery. The heart of town is Police Bazar (PB to locals) where seven roads meet at a hectic roundabout.
Day 1: Arrival Guwahati – Kaziranga (Approx 193 Kms)
Welcome to the beautiful North-Eastern Region of India. Upon arrival at the Guwahati International Airport, meet and greet by our representative. He will transfer you to a prebooked hotel in Kaziranga. Complete the check-in formalities, and relax in a luxurious room in your hotel. Enjoy your evening at leisure, and sprawl amidst the verdant environs. Cherish the beginning of a wonderful holiday and revel in the scenic beauty of the jungle. Day 2: Kaziranga
Wake up early the next day to enjoy an elephant safari. A must for all the adventure enthusiasts, it’s the best way to explore wildlife in Kaziranga. Come back to the hotel and gorge upon a delicious breakfast. Relax for a while until lunch, post which you will be taken on a thrilling Jeep Safari. Explore the rich vegetation and exotic wildlife as you hop on to the ride. Come back to the hotel for a relaxed overnight stay. __________________________________________________
Day 3: Kaziranga - Shillong (Approx 253 Kms)
Morning after having breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel. Proceed to Shillong. You will be driven to Shillong popularly known as the “Scotland of the East”. Enroute have a short stop and visit the magnificent and unique Umiam Lake. You can opt for some amazing water sports here or just admire the beauty of this picturesque place. When you reach Shillong visit the Don Bosco Monument, Cathedral Catholic Church, Lady Hydari Park and Ward’s Lake where you can also enjoy boating. Check-in to the hotel/resort. In the evening visit the local markets of Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.
__________________________________________________Day 4: Shillong - Cherrapunji - Shillong
Morning after having breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Cherrapunjee. On the way to Cherrapunjee, you will be visiting Shillong peak and Elephant falls. Once you are in Cherrapunjee, you can visit Nokhalikai falls, Seven Sisters falls, Dainthlen falls and Mawsmai cave. Then you will be visiting Awrah Cave. Once you are done with the day's tour, return back to Shillong for an overnight stay at a hotel in Shillong.

After a delicious breakfast, check out of your hotel in Shillong . Firstly, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, and afterward, proceed to Guwahati airport as per departure schedule for your return journey with a smile & life time memories.
