Lonavala-Khandala is a hill station and a Municipal Council in the Pune district, Maharashtra, India. It is about 64 km (40 miles) west of Pune and 96 km (60 miles) to the east of Mumbai. It is known for its production of the hard candy chikki and is also a major stop on the railway line connecting Mumbai and Pune.
Matheran is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and one of the smallest hill stations in India. It is located in the Western Ghats, at an elevation of around 800 m (2,625 feet) above sea level. It is about 90 km from Mumbai, and 120 km from Pune.
Day wise plan:
Day 1: Arrival
Matheran Kick-start your vacation with a visit to Matheran.On your arrival at Mumbai Airport/ Railways station you will be picked up by an agent's representative who will help in your easy transfers to Matheran. On your way to Matheran, you will witness the spectacular scenic beauty and winding hills. Upon reaching Matheran, proceed to your pre-booked hotels, where you can unpack your bags and relax. In the evening visit some of the most popular places in Matheran by taking you to King George Point, Sunset point or as it is called, Porcupine Point and Echo Point. Later head back to your hotel. This is followed by a comfortable overnight stay in Matheran.

Day 2: Matheran sightseeingsExplore the most attractive tourist places. Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, Drive to explore various areas in the hill station. We will take you to Louisa Point, Alexander Point and Monkey Point, which are all popular viewpoints for scenic views and to Charlotte Lake. Day 3: Matheran to LonavalaBegin your day with a filling spread of morning breakfast. and then pack your bags. You will check out from the hotel and transfer to Lonavala. Check-in to the hotel and freshen up yourself. Proceed for sightseeing places like Tiger point, Bhushi dam, Lonavala lake, Rajmachi point, Ducks noas and khandala lake. Later head back to your hotel. This is followed by a comfortable overnight stay in Lonavala.
