Alappuzha most still call it Alleppey is the hub of Kerala's backwaters, home to a vast network of waterways, over a thousand houseboats and an important coir industry. Wandering around the small but chaotic city centre, with its modest grid of canals, you'd be hard-pressed to agree with the 'Venice of the East' tag, and, sadly, at research time a hulking new highway flyover was marring the beauty of Alleppey's popular beach.
DAY 01 - COCHIN - THEKKADY
You are greeted on arrival at Kochi International Airport/Railway station by our representative and thereafter transfer to Thekkady covering a distance of 140 kms / 4 hrs. Check into the Resort. After visit Elephant Junction, spice plantation like cardamom, pepper, coffee, and tea estate etc. On the way back to hotel you could stop at the local market. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 – THEKKADY – ALLEPPEY HOUSEBOAT
Morning after Breakfast check out from the hotel drive to Alleppey. On arrival check in to the houseboat and enjoy the backwaters ride and all cuisines served in the Houseboat. Overnight stay in house boat.(Cruise start through - Vembanadu lake(biggest lake in kerala) – C block & R-Block paddy fields islands, kuttanadu villages, village fishermen shops, evening halt at 5.00pm)
DAY 03 - DEPARTURE
Morning after breakfast transfer to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for the onward Journey with Happy Memories.
