Meghalaya (Abode of Clouds in Sanskrit) is one of the seven Northeastern states of India. Famous for its high rainfall, subtropical forests and biodiversity, it is abutted by Assam in the north and east and by Bangladesh in the south. The River Brahmaputra (or Luit as called locally) forms the border in the west. The state's territory constituted the Khasi-Jaintia Hills and Garo Hills districts of Assam until 1972. Most of the terrain is hilly and experiences heavy rainfall during monsoon. It is a cool, pine-fresh mountain state set on dramatic horseshoes of rocky cliffs. Cherrapunjee and Mawsynram are statistically among the wettest places on Earth; most of the rain falls between June and September, creating very impressive waterfalls and carving out some of Asia�s longest caves.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL GUWAHATI – CHERRAPUNJEE STAY
Up on arrival at Guwahati airport our representative meet and greet you, later proceed to Cherrapunji sightseeing and Enroute Enjoy the Nature, Night city Tour like Shopping, David Scott Memorial Stone , Later back to check in the hotel and overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 2: CHERRAPUNJEE SIGHTSEEING
Morning after having Breakfast proceed to sightseeing visit like, Arwah cave, Dainthlen Falls, Wei Sawdong, Rainbow Living Root Falls, NohKalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, later back to the hotel and overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 3: CHERRAPUNJEE– DAWKI SIGHTSEEING - SHILLONG
Morning after having Breakfast check out from the hotel, later proceed to Dawki sightseeing visit Wah Umngot River Boat Ride (own charges), Tamabila O Point, Rymben Falls, Byrdaw Falls. Later check in the hotel and overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 4: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
Morning after having Breakfast check out from the hotel, later proceed drive to Guwahati Airport for return Journey with happy memories.
