Irreverent Shillong was the capital of colonial and post-Independence Assam (which embraced almost the whole Northeast) until 1972, when it became capital of the newly carved-out state of Meghalaya. Since then it has developed some accoutrements of a typical modern Indian town, including urban sprawl, a lot of concrete, and snarled-up traffic along its winding streets.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL GUWAHATI – SHILLONG SIGHTSEEING
Upon Arrival at Guwahati Airport our Representative meet and greet you, later proceed to Shillong sightseeing visit Umiam lake, Elephant falls, Wards lake, Shillong View Point. Later back to check in the hotel and stay in Shillong.
DAY 2: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI SIGHTSEEING - SHILLONG
Morning after having Breakfast proceed to Cherrapunji sightseeing visit Arwah cave, Dainthlen Falls, Rainbow Living Root Falls, NohKalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave. Later back return to the hotel and overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 3: SHILLONG – DAWKI SIGHTSEEING - SHILLONG
Morning after having Breakfast proceed to Dawki sightseeing visit Wah Umngot boat ride (own charges), Tamabila O Point, Rymben Falls, Byrdaw Falls. Later back return to the hotel and overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 4: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
Morning after having Breakfast check out from the hotel, later proceed to Guwahati Airport for return Journey with happy memories.
